One of the most common things I get is, 'you speak very well'. I tend to shrug it off but I'm still amazed at the
amount of times I hear that. Another one is that I dress very well. Do you play basketball? I think that has especially made me leary of
the intentions when someone compliments my attire. Trying to decipher the meaning of what someone is saying is so hard. Racism 2.0 is one of those things. It's no longer
overt, it's subtle. |

Date of feedback conversation:
- 4/11 | |
How did you prepare for the conversation?
- Wrote some notes to make sure I stayed on topic
How did the conversation go for you? What was easy about the conversation? What was more difficult?
- The conversation went pretty well. It was easy to get started but I could tell once the 'feedback' started
I tiptoed into it. |
Using the agile practices has been good. Using the issues tracker
in GitHub allowed us to stay on track and improved our ability to
prioritze what to work on next. Next time, I think using something like Trello
or waffle could improve effiecieny. |
