My ZSH Environment on CentOS 7

My ZSH Installation

  1. Install the zsh and change the shell for the user
Yum install zsh
chsh -s /bin/zsh <user>
  1. Install Oh My Zsh tools
wget https://github.com/robbyrussell/oh-my-zsh/raw/master/tools/install.sh -O - | zsh
  1. Install the Zsh themes.
git clone https://github.com/bhilburn/powerlevel9k.git ~/.oh-my-zsh/custom/themes/powerlevel9k
  1. Install the Nerd Fonts
echo "[-] Download fonts [-]"
echo "https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/releases/download/v2.1.0/DroidSansMono.zip"
wget https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/releases/download/v2.1.0/DroidSansMono.zip
unzip DroidSansMono.zip -d ~/.fonts
fc-cache -fv

  1. Copy the attached .zshrc file to use the powerline theme.

  2. Install the common developer plugins

git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-autosuggestions ${ZSH_CUSTOM:-~/.oh-my-zsh/custom}/plugins/zsh-autosuggestions
git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-completions ${ZSH_CUSTOM:=~/.oh-my-zsh/custom}/plugins/zsh-c
