Your resume is the #1 thing that potential employers will see and will judge you by. You only have a few seconds to capture their attention. Regardless of how good of a programmer you are, you will be judged by your resume, your online presence, and by how visually appealying your published projects are. This is a CRITICAL part of getting employment.
If you do not wish to submit a resume to our employer network, please let us know right away to opt out of this DevLeague Program requirement.
- Must be styled to be mobile-responsive.
- Must be published to a github.io page (or your own website).
- Custom styling is recommended, though not required.
- 1 to 2 pages recommended
- Your resume can be a PDF derived from your online resume (create a print stylesheet) or a separate print format saved as a PDF.
- Publish your resume to a github.io page, and notify @lori in the #cohort16-resume channel in Slack. If you don't have time to finish custom styling, then at the very minimum please publish the markdown to html version to your Github page so Lori can review your resume content. You may continue to work on styling even as your resume is under review. When Lori messages you with feedback, please make the recommended changes as soon as possible. You will need Lori's final approval before your resume is accepted as "Approved". Your resume will not be submitted to the employer network unless it has been approved.
- If you have made custom styles for your online resume or custom PDF, please notify @kelli to do a design review of your resume. Get Kelli's design approval befpre June 13 11:59pm.
- Submit the final version of (1) your online resume and (2) a print version of your PDF resume by June 14 11:59pm.
