My Savvy Way

My Savvy Way, Inc. is an early stage Boston-based startup that makes it easy for independent merchants to publish real-time information on products and special offers anywhere, anytime. It's product, Savione, is a mobile crowdsourcing guide to a virtual mall of indie brick and mortar stores and farmers’ markets. It is a community-driven platform that makes it easy and fun for merchants to publish real-time information on their stores, products, and offers. This allows merchants to engage in continuous dialogue and communication with the increasingly growing number of mobile consumers.

They are looking for someone to lead the development and growth of their marketing and advertising platform. Talent, passion, and personality are important to them, so they are looking for someone who is excited about radically changing local markets and creating impactful products regardless of where they are located. As a co-founder, it is an equity position that will include salary when funding is raised. They are open to individuals who may be able to contribute a minimum of 15 hours a week moonlighting to be a part of the team.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive development of the back-end and front-end systems
  • Develop white labeled mobile products of Savione for targeted segments of the market
  • Promoting both battle-tested and cutting edge technologies to build the best platform possible
  • Work with product to determine technical feasibility and implementation timelines

Minimum Requirements

  • Technical skills to lead development efforts and build a scalable platform
  • Experience working on cross platform, cross browser, and mobile app software integration
  • Experience in any a web framework (Rails, Django, Pythons, Play, etc), web hosting (EC2, Heroku, Linode), and frontend technologies (iOS, Android, Javascript). You'd be in a position to use the best tools for the job.
  • Ability to ship product fast
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills to interact with team members
  • Dedication, commitment, and passion to deliver the product and find new solutions
