Introduction to React

Hey friends ๐Ÿ‘‹

My name is Kent C. Dodds and I'm a React dev and teacher. I'm going to be speaking at React Rally Conference next week and I'm also giving a workshop called Introduction to React. There are only a handful of early bird tickets left for this workshop and I want to let you know about it so you, your co-workers, and your new-hires can come along and join us.

You should come to this workshop if:

  • You are new to writing applications in JavaScript
  • You are experienced with writing applications in JavaScript, but newer to React
  • You are experienced with writing applications in React, but you have trouble explaining the difference between a React Element and a React Component
  • You are experienced with writing applications in React, but you have trouble explaining the difference between
    and React.createElement('div')
  • You have trouble writing a React application without Redux
  • You want to teach people how to use React, but you'd like to observe how to run a workshop from an expert

Even if you have taken other beginner's React courses in the past, attending this workshop will make you more effective with React.

Here's an example email you can send to your boss to ask for them to pay for your ticket to the workshop:

Hi,

Some co-workers and I would like to attend a hands-on React workshop to improve our effectiveness with React. The trainer is Kent C. Dodds, a highly respected and knowledgeable React developer and teacher. The workshop is one day on August 15th (a Wednesday) in Salt Lake City. There are a few early bird priced tickets left at $349 (after that we can use this discount link for $440: https://workshop.me/2018-08-react-intro?a=kent). Could you reimburse us to get tickets to improve our understanding of React? Thanks!

If you are a student, contact me about student pricing of 50% off (kent@doddsfamily.us).

Please let me know if you have any questions. โš›๏ธ
