Group Work Expectations

Group Expectations

Group Member Names: Josh, Drew, Kyle

Project Manager: Kyle

Defining the Relationship (DTR) Questions:

  1. When are group members available to work together? What hours can each group member work individually? Are there any personal time commitments that need to be discussed?

Drew: Available at all times

Josh: Available at all times

Kyle: Friday, Saturday, Sunday afternoon / evening

  1. What does each group member hope to get out of the project?

Josh: "Template" for making a webpage off of Sinatra and ActiveRecord

Drew: Learning about testing and how to test everything

Kyle: Testing, project management tool - Waffle, practice writing HTML

  1. How will group members communicate? How often will communication happen, and how will open lines of communication be maintained?

-Slack channel as main avenue. Slack the channel anytime when there is a change that affects everyone.

-Morning stand-ups with goals for the day, tasks, and feedback

  1. What is expected of group members when they run into problems implementing a feature?

-"Raise your hand" and ask for help

-Ask other students or Sal / Casey

  1. Is there anything else the group should know about personal work/communication styles?

-Josh: tendency to think aloud, "overly frequent" communication, likes to be clear

-Drew: can be slow on the upstart, very open about communication

-Kyle: work a little too quickly occasionally, likes some independent work

  1. Project workflow

-Follow the git workflow for teams document with Casey

-Name branches based on Waffle issues
