CWRU LoL Tournament Rules

CWRU LoL Tournament Rules

General Rules

  1. All participants and visitors are expected to behave as excellent sportsman at all times.
    • Basically, if it violates the summoner's code, it violates this.

In Game Rules

  1. Either team may request a remake of the game, provided that it is both before first blood and before the 5:00 mark. This may only be done once per team.
    • The same picks and bans must be used as well as the same mastery pages and runes.
  2. If a player disconnects, the game will continue as normal (although see rule 1 above).
    • Unfortunately, we are on the live server, and do not have a pause feature, therefore, not much can be done about this that is fair to both teams.
  3. We are playing the game as it is at the time of the tournament. If there are any bugs in it, they are part of the game and therefore part of the tournament.
    • Again, unfortunate, but there is not anything to be done about it.
  4. If the venue loses power or networking, games should be paused if possible to allow all participants to reconnect. If that is not possible, games will be remade with the same picks and bans and all players must use the same rune and mastery pages.

Picks and Bans

  1. Nami, if released, is banned in all games. Players may not select her in champion select.
  2. If a player does not have enough champions to participate in a tournament draft game, the teams may elect to do picks and bans in chat following the normal procedure and order. I.E. Blue Team bans first, then alternate bans and Blue Team picks 1 champion first, followed by 2 picks from Purple, etc.

Penalties

If any players or teams fail to follow the rules outlined above, the admins may level the following penalties against the offending player or the offending team:

  • Loss of a ban.
  • Loss of all bans.
  • Disqualification from the tournament.
  • Loss of Prizes.
  • Removal of a player from the tournament (A replacement will be provided by the admins if available).
  • Game Loss.
