Get all your apps installed before starting your workday. Otherwise: "I'm going to focus." Opens up project, reaches for headphones, installs spotify, logs in using social media to find friends to get my playlist in order, ends up watching cat videos.

If you have to chop vegetables, you'll eat the cookies instead. Keep healthy snacks, divided into individual servings, prepped and ready to grab.

Invest in comfortable, high quality headphones. It's too easy to get distracted by the tiniest sound when you are working on a slightly less than enthralling task.

When setting up your office area, don't face your monitors so the light from the windows creates glare right into your eyeballs. Bonus: Make sure the evening light gets in your eyes to force you to stop working at a reasonable hour.

be aware of how much fluid you drink. It’s too easy to get dehydrated when social trips to the drink machines are no longer a thing. Find a new way to incorporate refills into your day, and do avoid afternoon caffeine. Your sleep will thank you.

My wfh husband keeps the temperature so low that grocery store freezers are jealous. Buy more winter clothes for summer. Also, when he does go to the office, I can turn the heat up.

Remember to set it to auto and not heat so the air conditioner can kick in before the roasting begins.
