The accompanying CSV compares various liquid cooling quick-disconnect couplers that satisfy the following criteria:
- No-spill (<100µL loss on disconnect)
- Hand mate (requires releasing an interlock to disconnect)
- Material compatible with a copper loop (e.g., brass, plastic, stainless steel)
- 0~60°C operating temperature
- Nominal inner diametre of 6~10mm
Note: Various vendors offer couplers following the UQD standard, but at the time of writing, all either don't provide public datasheets or the datasheets are incomplete, so they're not included in this comparison. Perhaps UQD is still too immature of a standard
The superscript numbers are footnotes corresponding to:
- Cv and Kv are numbers directly provided by the manufacturer, or calculated from the flow-pressure drop graph at Q≈4L/m
- AUD price of a male+female pair at single quantities. Missing prices means I couldn't find any publically available price and haven't asked for a quote
- Female length with a 10mm ID barb termination (or nearest size)
- Male length with a G 1/4 male thread termination (or nearest size)
- No barb termination available (or datasheet does not include barb length), so threaded termination used with extra length added on to represent a barb fitting (+23mm for G 1/4, +34mm for G 3/8, +45mm for G 1/2)
- No male thread available, so used female thread instead
- Cannot be disconnected under pressure
- Nitrile seal material (+$15 for FKM or EPDM)
