I would split iCE40 and ice40up5k boards, as they are quite different in what they can do...

That's a good idea for organization of the blog post(s). It sounds like it might also be a good idea to start off by covering the differences between the various FPGA (sub)families.

(This list was mostly me iterating over what I had on-hand in my head so I could see if anyone thought I was missing any major options; the idea has gradually crept from "I should capture my comments on the boards I have in my FPGA collection" to "I should probably do a series of posts comparing these".)

By the end of the year there should be a whole "Series 7" section in there too :-)

Super looking forward to that -- I have a couple of Artix boards waiting for me to get a chance to try prjxray out. :)
