Keyboard Shorcuts

Here are some keyboard shortcuts thatll make your work easy (You can replace Ctrl by Cmd in the shortcuts if you are on OS X):

  • Ctrl+S to save/update.
  • Ctrl+M to preview (and again to hide it).r
  • Alt+O to open the sidebar.
  • Alt+D to delete the current write-up.
  • Alt+E to edit the current write-up (if you are on the view page).
  • Alt+V to go to the view page.

Tips, Tricks and Features

Here are some tips to make the best use of Inkpen:

  • Make sure to sign in via twitter if you want to keep track of your write-ups. Its free and will always be free.
  • Always include a h1 tag at the top of your write-ups for best functionality. Although, it is not a requirement.
  • If you save while signed in, everyone will see your avatar with a link back to your twitter profile on the view page (like this page is showing mine).
  • Make use of shortcuts to speed up your workflow.
  • tab key just works ;)
  • You can disable sounds, change theme or switch to fullscreen mode (editor only) using the controls in the top left corner.
  • If you try to update/edit someone elses write-up, then a new one will be created under your accout and the original will be left intact.
