Hi
your gist is very helpful (don't have to setup dnsmasq at all, just run this !! )
But when running it, I cannot upload nothing to tftp server, having dnsmasq-tftp: unsupported request from <ip> error
I suspect o port issue, since you put dnsmasq port to 0, avoiding dns. Is there a way to set it to another one, but ensuring to disable dns on the same time ?

It's OK because dnsmasq not supported write request (WRQ). TFTP server in dnsmasq designed only for provide files (bootloaders, configurations, etc).
