Better Twitch TV

You will want to use your BTTV emote slots for animated emotes as FFZ only has static emotes.

You must login with your Twitch account to manage your emotes.

  • You can see your emotes in My Emotes.
  • You can add a Twitch or Discord bot, or subscribe to BTTV Pro, in My Channel.
  • You can browse and search emotes to add to your channel in Sharing.

Normally you have 5 shared emote slots which means public emotes from the shared library, and 5 local channel emotes which are for your channel only. You can increase these by subscribing to Better Twitch TV Pro for $4.99 monthly, it grants you 25 channel emotes, 50 shared emotes, priority emote approval, and allows 5 channel and shared non-GIF personal emotes to be used globally by you (on any channel).

Here you have 5 basic shared emotes. However you can choose any other emote you like.

FrankerFaceZ

FFZ's extension works looks and works better from my experience, you may want to check it for yourself.

You must login with your Twitch account to manage your emotes.

  • They have an About tab that makes my babbling here a little pointless but I do it anyway.
  • You can donate to FFZ in Donate, more on that below, or you could read the perks there.
  • Submitting to FFZ is fairly simple, start your journey in here.
  • Your submitted emotes appear here. You can see their approval status.
  • You can browse and search emotes to add to your chanel in Public Library.
  • Additionally you can also preview emotes in their full size browsing through the Infinite Wall.
  • You can see what channels have FFZ enabled on them in Channel Index.
  • You can see your emotes in This-Place-I-Cannot-Link

FFZ gives you 25 emote slots for free for your channel. Do note that these are static emotes only. FFZ has no GIF/Animated emotes. Still those 25 slots is way more than BTTV's 5 free slots, so use BTTV wisely. If you want more slots on FFZ you can consider donating, which I strongly recommend. As a FFZ Supporter which is >=$5 one-time donation you get 25 more slots (total 50 slots), custom channel Moderator badges, and your own FFZ Supporter Badge. The most useful perk out of those is obviously the 25 more slots.
