Logitech G305 / Unifying / Lightspeed mouse not working on Linux boot — root cause (hid_logitech_hidpp module race) and fix

Logitech G305 (and other Unifying/Lightspeed mice) not working on boot in Linux — intermittent fix

Problem

After booting into a Linux desktop (Kubuntu 25.04, kernel 6.17), the Logitech wireless mouse occasionally doesn't work at all. The cursor is completely frozen. A reboot sometimes fixes it, sometimes doesn't. The keyboard and all other USB devices work fine.

This affects Logitech mice using a Unifying or Lightspeed USB receiver (046d:c53f), including the G305, G Pro, and others that rely on the logitech-djreceiver + hid-logitech-hidpp kernel driver stack.
