DTR: Define the Relationship

Project: Le Pivot

Group Member Names: Dione Wilson, Hugh Morrison, Randal Springer, Liam Barstad

Project Expectations:

  • Learn new things
  • Develop proficiency with new communication tools/practices
  • Quality > Quantity, while taking a couple risks
  • Install circle CI

Team strengths:

  • Dione: communication, organization, SQL
  • Liam: views, design, some random technical stuff
  • Hugh: design, JS, API stuff
  • Randy: testing, SQL, API stuff

How to overcome obstacles:

  • Communicating issues and utilizing each other's strengths
  • Maintaining group congruity and morale

Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually?):

  • Monday: group members want to get their stuff together for the coming onslaught

Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open?):

(in order of importance)

  • in-person
  • Slack: for meeting up, asking non-specific code questions
  • Pivotal comments: story questions, plan-of-attack
  • Github: code reviews

Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):

  • Bug fixes and chores first

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests):

  • One peer reviewer per PR
  • part of template to name methods/relevant variables or resources that have been added

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

  • Direct, would rather know than not

Ideas:

  • rails helpers
  • Jasmine
  • consensus for names
  • Circle CI

Tools:

  • Bootstrap
