Self-Summary
I am a senior at Portland State University about to graduate with a B.S. in Mathematics. I also spend my
free time programming and training/coaching martial arts. I am hard working and clever. My most valuable
attribute is my ability to pick up and learn new skills in a new environment at a fast pace, on the go. I have
lots of patience and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Experience
ˆ Tech Support/Repair: I volunteered at FreeGeek for 12 months doing tech support and on-site repair
for their Ubuntu Linux systems. I also helped in developing a set of tools for remote support. Before that,
I interned at PC World doing sales and PC repair for 3 months.

ˆ Programming: Over the last 3 years I have worked on a number of small projects, in various languages,
both gratis and non-gratis. I am currently uploading projects to my portfolio: http://github.com/Lokeh.
Many of them involve client-side scripting, server-side scripting, SQL and numerical solutions.

ˆ Customer Service: I have over two years of experience working in a high-stress, retail environment
through my employment at the used electronics store Stu (located on SE 82nd & Otty). I am also a
current member of the sales team at Five Rings Jiu Jitsu and Fitness, a professional martial arts and
fitness gym in Beaverton. My duties include making first contact with interested customers, setting
appointments, meeting them and giving tours of the facilities, and giving introductory lessons to the
sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

ˆ Classwork: I have completed classes in C++, Data Structures, and Discrete Structures (CS 162, 163,
and 250) in the CS department. As a Math student, I have taken courses in Mathematical Modeling
(using Python or C to solve, alongside paper and proof techniques), Applied Linear Algebra (MTH
343), Advanced Linear/Multilinear Algebra (MTH 444), and Discrete Mathematics (MTH 356) among
many other proof-intensive courses.
