This is how GitHub's new AJAX file browser works.
GitHub.TreeSlider = function () {
if (window.history && window.history.pushState) {
function a() {
if (e.sliding) {
e.sliding = false;
$(".frame-right").hide();
$(".frame-loading:visible").removeClass("frame-loading")
}
}
if (!($("#slider").length == 0 || !GitHub.shouldSlide)) if (!navigator.userAgent.match(/(iPod|iPhone|iPad)/)) {

These instructions work for the Raspberry Pi running Raspbian (hard float) and create a hardware optimized version of NodeJS for the Raspberry PI, (and include a working install and NPM!!!):

  1. Install Raspbian - http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads

  2. Install the necessary dependecies:

sudo apt-get install git-core build-essential

(If you just installed git then you need to administer your git identity first, else adding the patches below will fail!!!)

Checkout github pull requests locally

Locate the section for your github remote in the .git/config file. It looks like this:

[remote "origin"]
	fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
	url = git@github.com:joyent/node.git

Now add the line fetch = +refs/pull/*/head:refs/remotes/origin/pr/* to this section. Obviously, change the github url to match your project's URL. It ends up looking like this:

Generic

There are various ServiceProviders that do X, Y, and/or Z. A valid SP must do X and Y, but Z is optional. A user generally picks one SP (or hosts their own) and uses that exclusively. The SP needs to provide authenticated API endpoints for each of the actions it provides,

Flashing Firefox OS on Flame Reference Devices

Flashing Flame Devices with Firefox OS

If you have a Flame reference device and wanna try out alternate versions of Firefox OS apart from the stock one, but not willing to build from source, then follow this mini-manual.

Get the build

You can download the packages from the Nightly Build directories of Mozilla FTP. You specifically need the following two files:

  • b2g-XX.0a1.en-US.android-arm.tar.gz (XX is the version number)
  • gaia.zip

Brick style rules proposal

Brick style rules proposal

Our goal is to reduce collision with page styles without Shadow DOM. This is a proposal for rules that will be linter-enforced to ensure that.

Prefer class-based selectors whenever affected markup is part of a component. Prefer tag or [attribute] for markup is authored by users.

Tag Selectors

Never use tag selectors unless they are direct descendants of component markup:

Curved Text in SVG

Curved Text in SVG

Curved text in SVG isn't too hard, as long as you understand how to define different kinds of curved <path> elements in SVG. When you have a curved <path> defined in a <defs> elements (usually just inside your root <svg>), to make the text inside a <text> element follow that <path>, all that's required is to insert a <textPath> inside the <text>, with an xlink:href attribute that links to the id of the defined <path>. The actual text for display also gets added inside the <textPath>, like so:

<text>
  <textPath xlink:href="#yourPath">
    Your text
  </textPath>
