Hi James,
Apologies about the delay in getting in touch! I’ve done testing on our end and wasn’t able to recreate similar errors with downtime and loading for Cloud.typography. If it’s not too much trouble, would you mind confirming if you’re still having issues?
Thanks in advance.
Kindest Regards,
Nicole

Hi James,
Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m sorry you’ve had trouble. I saw your note on Twitter and I wanted to chat a bit more.
We haven’t experienced any load issues or outages with Cloud.typography, but if you could share anymore about the slow request issue we can certainly look at things on our end. Alternately, you can always find specifics from our Pingdom page on uptime here: http://stats.pingdom.com/ig52gpcl1jx1/292717
That said, I did also want to get in touch and let you know that we’ve had feedback from a few clients that Amazon’s servers experienced a short downtime earlier today. This wouldn’t have affected font delivery, but it may have affected font loading depending on where you’re keeping the fonts on your end.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards,
Nicole

Hey guys, we’re paying customers (bugsnag.com).
Your site was not responsive earlier today, which effectively caused downtime on our site while waiting for the browser to timeout loading your css file.
Do you have an asynchronous/non-blocking way of loading the font css file? Ideally we would want something that was fully hosted on our site, but sent the page tracking information you guys need asynchronously (using javascript maybe?).
It is pretty unacceptable for our site to be down due to speed issues at your end, so we’re looking for any solution you can offer.
Best
