Is this AI model open source?

Use this chart to tell if a given license you find on HuggingFace or Civitai is actually open source. If it is not listed here, it is very likely NOT open source.

For this chart we are using two well-known open source certifications:

FSF approved: Approved by the Free Software Foundation. Very similar to OSI, but they pay special attention to whether or not a license gives you rights to use the author's undeclared software patents.

OSI approved: Approved by the Open Source Initiative. Very similar to FSF, but they pay special attention to whether the license is legally clear enough to avoid accidentally discriminating against any field of endeavor.
