Recommendations for testing pre-release add-ons for Event Espresso 4

Testing add-ons that are in our pre-release channel are an awesome way to help us squash bugs and make add-ons available faster.

We test internally but it isn't possible to test every single scenario. For example, testing with a specific web host with a certain set of plugins running. We really appreciate your assistance in testing and the tips below will help you get started.

  1. Join our Pre-release Channel by opting in via your Event Espresso account page:

  1. Pre-release add-ons for Event Espresso 4 should not be used on a live/production sites. These add-ons are being tested and bugs are being actively fixed. A better option is to setup a testing or a staging site for testing.

  2. When you discover a bug or something doesn't seem right, try to grab a screenshot of the issue and be sure to note the version of the add-on that is in use. You can find the version number in the Plugins screen in your WP dashboard.

See this link for recommendations on a screenshot tool:

Then create a new support post in our support forums to let us know:

http://eventespresso.com/support/forums/

Describe the issue to the best of your knowledge and include a screenshot or two if available). A team member will then review your issue and attempt to verify it. If there is a bug, then we'll share your feedback and our findings with a member of our development team.

We will let you know as soon at the issue is fixed in your support post.
