Problems with DJI Assistant 2 on Windows 10

The installer was broken and you would see this:

But that has been fixed. The latest installer from The updated version on https://www.dji.com/downloads/softwares/assistant-dji-2-for-mavic installs properly.
But when I launch the app it is not finding my Mavic Air drone which connected via USB-C.
The USB drives both show up and I can drag/drop photos from the drone to my compute no problem, but the app is stuck on this screen.
