Building a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Introduction

In this project, you will build a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (PB&J).

Getting Started

Before you build a PB&J, you will need to:

• Set up a clean table
• Get a clean dull knife
• Have some kitchen paper handy in case of errors

Dependencies

In order to build a PB&J, you will need the following supplies:

• Bread
• Peanut Butter: Store brand or better. NOTE: Almond butter will also work
• Jelly: Grape or better. PREFERRED VERSION: Four Fruits Preserves

Instructions

1. Set out two (2) slices of bread on the plate
2. Open the peanut butter
3. Using the knife, spread peanut butter on one piece of bread
4. OPTIONAL: Wipe off knife with paper towel or on second piece of bread
5. Open the jelly
6. Using the same knife, spread jelly on the second piece of bread
7. Put peanut-buttered and jellied sides of bread together
8. Close peanut butter and jelly If you wish to build more than one sandwich, repeat steps 1-4, 6, and 7 before closing the jars in step 8. You may need more than one plate.
