1. Use uber (cheap, safe, and fast)
2. Sim cards. If you have an unlocked phone, you can get a sim card at any Telcel store, ask for the "amigo plan", it basically is pay as you go for data, sms's and calls. You can recharge this cards basically everywhere, there are little stores called Oxxos (they look very similar to 7eleven, you can go there and charge your card if you start running low)
