Documents to carry to Delhi/Mumbai/Bangalore Netherlands embassy for Highly Skilled Migrant (MVV) visa

Valid for Indian citizens only.

Note: Written as per MVV visa interview experience on 9th December, 2021 for a couple. List of items may have changed in the meanwhile - please verify the list of items required by yourself. Please do not consider this list exhaustive.

For the primary visa holder:

• 2 photos taken as per Netherlands specification for photos
• DTDC AWB number (details here)
• Original passport
• Original birth certificate with apostille
• IND approval letter
• MVV application form - filled, with photo pasted.
• Embassy appointment confirmation page
• Mailing form filled and signed
• 2 photocopies of birth certificate with apostille
• 2 photocopies of passport (portrait orientation), both name page and address page
• MVV application form (unfilled, just in case you will have to rewrite the form again due to some error)

For dependant of the primary visa holder:

• 2 photos taken as per Netherlands specification for photos
• DTDC AWB number (details here)
• Original passport
• Original birth certificate with apostille
• Original marriage certificate with apostille
• IND approval letter
• MVV application form - filled, with photo pasted.
• Embassy appointment confirmation page
• Mailing form, filled and signed
• 2 photocopies of birth certificate with apostille
• 2 photocopies of marriage certificate with apostille
• 2 photocopies of your passport (portrait orientation), both name page and address page
• 1 photocopy of passport of your spouse who is the primary visa holder (portrait orientation), both name page and address page
• MVV application form (unfilled, just in case you will have to rewrite the form again due to some error)

I have a dumb question regarding the DTDC AWB number. How did you book the courier in DTDC? Is it through App or something else?
On the website link you provided, it says DTDC will ask you to make an online payment of INR 750, but on the DTDC app I don't see any services particular for passport delivery service.

If you don't mind could you please share how you booked your DTDC service and when you booked it (the day before the appointment)?

@bendangnuksung the details are listed here

• When you call them up, they will give you an account number/IFSC code and their email address.
• You will have to send money to that account via IMPS/NEFT/UPI. Once you send the amount, take a screenshot of your transaction that contains the transaction ID.
• Next, you email them with this screenshot that shows transaction ID, so that they can verify the transaction and make sure they have received the money. Also include your complete address in this email (where you want your passport to be sent)
• Once they verify this, they will reply to your email with your AWB number that you should carry to the embassy.
• An AWB number is valid for 30 days. Make sure to book the AWB number at least 2-3 days before the date of your appointment at the embassy.

Can one book MVV appointment in any consulate in India (Delhi/Mumbai/Bangalore) or does it have to be a specific one chosen in your application by your sponsor? It seems my sponsor selected Bangalore but there are no appointments there in April!

@meerals yes, it does look like you will have to attend the appointment at Bangalore itself AFAIK. But if you call up the consulate in Delhi, they should be able to give you the right answer.

Hi @manojmj92 , I have my mvv appointment on Monday. The courier number mentioned was not picking up the call. Is there any alternative number or can I book the courier service later on after the appointment ?

@rjrachel19 I don't think there is an alternative number. You would need the courier number before you meet with the embassy representative during your appointment. And now the courier only opens at 10 AM on Monday. When is your appointment? What you can do is to start calling them at 10 AM on Monday, transfer the money, get the number and then meet the representative.

Hi @manojmj92 my appointment is at 9:50 a.m on Monday & the next slot for reschedule is available only after the 1st aug.

Can I do the courier part later on after the appointment with the embassy?

@rjrachel19 you cannot do it later. You are going to be submitting the passport at the embassy at the end of your appointment and they need the courier number to be able to send it back to you.

You can ask the embassy officials to delay your appointment till 11 AM or so, and they would be happy to help you. By then you can call them and get this problem sorted.

No you cannot submit it later, you will need the AWB number to go into the appointment. During the appointment you will have to submit the envelope with the AWB number written on it. During my appointment there was a girl with the exact same problem as you - she did not have the AWB number. Her appointment was also before 10 AM but they let her wait until 10 AM and she got the AWB number after the DTDC office opened. She was delayed by a lot of time and other people who got appointment after her were sent in before her. But finally she could go into the appointment after getting the AWB number. This was in Delhi embassy. Hope you get the same option. Also, the DTDC number is working , I got the AWB numbers this Friday from the same number , for my family members.
