Machine

Beelink Ser7

What doesn't work

Ser7

  • Machine USB A port -> USB 2 Hub -> all 2.4g dongles
    • This will greatly increase the effective range of wireless devices, allowing true usage in a home theater environment.

Windows

  • Some games using Anti Cheat will freeze the entire PC after 4-5 minutes. This seems to be a problem with the Ser5 BIOS, I've seen it on multiple machines. However, booting the games on Linux rather than Windows seems to fix the issue

Batocera

  • Controller has gyro drift,only in Dolphin, maybe due to thresholds not being calibrated. Set motion controls in Dolphin using the advanced configs described in the Dolphin docs.
  • wrong size screen after long period of time of not using machine, have to restart or change system video out to fix.
  • After leaving some apps, like Steam, the controller will disconnect.
  • Saving configs for standalone emulators: change the appropriate usr/lib/python3.11/site-packages/configgen/generators/yourEmulator/generator.py file, run Batocera-save-overlay,

Syncthing

  • Gameboy advance syncing works. SNES for some reason does not because the cores I'm using on both devices are incompatible: SNES9x and Supafaust.

Todo

Features

  • Syncthing keeps select save states in sync between mini pc and Miyoo Mini.
  • Use the unsupported Batocera Pro apps for Switch emulation and Steam.
