Weekly Report - February 18 - 23 2024

Tasks / Worked On

  • Short week.
    • Out Thursday
    • Out Friday
  • "Fixed" Python Services on Oriole
    • The original systemd services were written incorrectly so that when restarts of the vm happened, the services were not working correctly.
    • Added After and Requires settings to wait on Apache and Networking to come up.
    • Need to test full restart.
  • Met with Kirk to work on expectations / feature for faceting names and subjects and dereferncing uris.
    • Need to test on staging, but should be good here.
  • Tested work on QA and figured out how to resume tasks.
  • Resumed Migrations.
    • Finished Gamble 2023.
    • Cleaned up most of WWIIOH.
    • Imported most of RFTA Audio.
    • There are a few new bugs that we'll need to discuss tuesday to move forward.
      • If a Fileset Errors out with a Faraday::TimeoutError, remove and rebuild doesn't seem to work.
      • On at least a few RFTA Audio records, remove and rebuild is not working and accessing the FileSet encounters a Rails error. See Task-1162.
  • Met with Peter and Daisy about Trace Issues.
    • Need to create tickets for work.
  • Began migration of RFTA Audio works.

Needs to Happen ASAP

  • Before we move forward with migration, we need some way to test that fileset imports have worked.
  • I need to work on travel for IIIF and Code4Lib.
  • Need to work on staging tests.
