   Senior Frontend Developer

   Description

   The Services business unit plays a leading role in shaping Nokia's
   growth and transformation into an internet company by generating new
   revenue streams based on software and services. We are fundamentally
   changing the perception of Nokia in the market. The Services unit
   portfolio includes Ovi-branded services such as maps, music, games,
   social networking, sharing, and email which create opportunities for
   people to connect to each other and the things that matter to them. The
   developed services and software can be used on PCs, online or on mobile
   devices, distributed independently or embedded in devices, delivered to
   both Nokia and to non-Nokia devices and monetized through multiple
   business models: transaction, subscription, and/or advertising.

   We are looking for an experienced frontend developer to create the user
   experience for Nokia's next generation mobile web applications. In this role, 
   you will collaborate closely with software development organizations within
   Nokia R&D, product managers and senior leadership and contribute to
   multiple market leading web projects. The ideal candidate will be a
   highly creative and innovative self-starter with a strong background in
   developing web frontends based on the latest technologies. Also, the
   ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing scalable web
   sites, communicating with webservices and ideally working with MVC
   frameworks like Spring or Struts.

   Qualifications
     * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,
       Physics, Electrical Engineering
     * 6-8 years experience developing user interfaces for web devices for
       consumer services and applications
     * Must be an expert in: HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML , AJAX and web
       standards
     * Knowledge of how to integrate SOAP/REST based web services
     * a good understanding of interaction design principles is a plus
     * Large scale web application development experience is a plus
     * Experience working closely with designers to implement designs and
       iterate product development
     * Highly collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced,
       rapidly growing environment
     * Experience working in a rapid application development environment
       using appropriate tools and techniques
     * Fluent in English - written and spoken
