RIDOLFI Inc. is a Seattle-based environmental engineering and consulting firm and is offering a paid GIS Internship for the summer of 2013. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks such as: data development, map creation, spatial analysis, and programmatic workflow automation. In addition to GIS support, current projects are focused in the following service lines:
- Environmental services
- Natural resource management
- Sustainability
- Environmental data quality and chemistry
- Current enrollment in a college degree program.
- Proficient with ESRI’s ArcGIS Desktop software.
- A minimum of at least two years of college coursework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have completed coursework in environmental science or natural resources.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn the Python scripting language.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn open source GIS tools such as QGIS desktop.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn a Spatial RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
