NYT article, Top 50 extensions, 5 runs

Compared to example.com the effect of a single installed extension is largely drowned out.

On-page CPU time

Extensions with a large JS bundle are still detectable, but 500ms extra CPU time is less significant if the overall value is 10s.

First Contentful Paint

Example.com FCP is 170ms, here it's about 800ms. So impact of single extension is less noticable.
