Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2023-06-01

Thank you for using the "Do Not Type" application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle and protect your data when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal information.

  1. Collection and Use of Voice Input Data: The App utilizes the OpenAI Whisper API for voice transcription. When you provide voice input, it is uploaded to OpenAI for transcription purposes. If you choose to enable voice archiving, a copy of your voice input will also be stored locally on your device. We do not upload your voice input to any third-party platforms other than OpenAI. Please note that your voice input may be subject to OpenAI's own privacy policies and practices.

  2. Collection and Use of Text Records: As the App relies on the OpenAI API for text generation, OpenAI has access to your text records. However, no third-party platforms other than OpenAI have access to your text records through our App.

  3. Data Security: We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  4. Third-Party Services: The App may contain links or integrations with third-party services or websites. This Privacy Policy applies solely to the App, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services or websites that you interact with.

  5. Children's Privacy: The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our systems.
