if nothing is decided NomenclaturalChecklist would be removed. Further discussions needed as not all consequences have been fully discussed. Decision: remove term!

issue 2 typifiedName

• move to Identification group (Rich)
• typeStatus definition needs updated
• we should also have a new term to declare the typeSpecies/typeGenus (Walter)

issue 3 genericName

• create 2 new term requests: genericName & infragenericEpithet (Art21 Botany: name of the subdivision of the genus). Terminology acceptable to all in this room. Definitions should look at the nomen codes
• Is this an issue for occurrence or specimen records? Why would you use a known synonym as the currently identified scientificName
• acceptedNameUsage for Occurrences is misleading, we should probably remove it from the Occurrence core

issue 4 cultivarEpithet

ABCD uses 2 concepts, cultivar name and cultivar group name originating from the formal ICNCP code http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/ABCD/AbcdConcept0314 http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/ABCD/AbcdConcept0315 In zoology it is called "breed". Unaware of an official breed code. Named individuals important for endangered species, organismName should be used.

informal names also for polyploidic organisms, OTUs, strains (see #5).

3 cases of nothospecies within a nothogenus exist in Harvard. Use multi values in those edge cases. How do we handle chimera taxa? Similar to named hybrids but they use a + symbol

needs discussion. No immediate rejection or approval

taxonConceptID seems unused, hard to use and might be better to be deprecated as it is confusing for users.

What should parentNameUsageID be for hybrids?
