@discordapp I may go back to IRC from Discord due to your neglect of the Linux platform, and others may follow (1/11)

So to preface this, I have been a Full time Linux user since 2016 and a Discord user Since about the same time too. August last year decided to pay for nitro as Discord was becoming a heavy part of the communitys i am in, But this is when the issues began. (2/11)

I started to notice that the feature parity of the discord client on Linux began to drift from windows, We had weird bugs that are never fixed(some a year old, see attached image) even though some are one line long. But more recently I have had to go through your support, and it is awful. (3/11)

It used to be good, there was a dev at your company who cared about linux and was active in the Discord Linux server, but since he left in 2017 to go work for someone else, getting support and getting bugs fixed has been awful, and we are beginning to miss out on features. (4/11)

We have to go through people who have no idea of any info about linux, sometimes causing people to be directed towards the Discord Linux server, who cant help much.(5/11)

You have dismissive staff like dabbit who don't bother to check if their responses are correct and just tend to ignore any requests from the linux users. and a plethora of other issues that are mostly covered in attached screenshots (6/11)

All this crap support and your boasting about Hosting projects like @fedora @gentoo and other linux distros and projects while at the same time not caring about our platform. It just feels Disingenuous(7/11)

Why does this make me miss IRC, IRC had the people running the servers and developing the clients in the chat, I was in #linuxmasterrace on snoonet and there where some quassel developers, this feeling and sense of community is missing, especially regarding Linux Discord community (8/11)

What do i want to change, I would at least like to see this thread read by someone high up at @discordapp, But having a support person who is active in the linux communities and is passionate about linux(9/11)

But what would be even better is for there to be a client engineer that is dedicated to supporting linux as is also involved in the linux community. (10/11)

One thing you might want to change is the requirement to relocate, you'll get a lot more linux focused developers willing to work for you as a lot of them dont want to move or prefer working remotely (11/11)
