The proposition of replacing old buildings with modern ones has been contentious. I'm inclined to disagree with this idea for several reasons.
Proponents may note that due to the long-time service of these old buildings in an unprotected fashion, the physical situation of the buildings are worsen, thus constanly requiring repairments. The cost of the maintainment can be immensive, increasing the financial burden. As a result, replacing them with modern ones not only avoids the potential repairments cost in the future, but also introduces a refreshing and morden look into the view.
However, this radical approach may breed its own issues.
