Frontend Developer at wercker

Wercker is on a mission to change the way web applications are created and delivered. We're building a platform and tool for building, testing and deploying in the modern world of microservices, containers and cloud.

The wercker interface team is dedicated to designing and building beautiful web applications which our customers use on a daily basis. The team incorporates graphical design, UI/UX and code to develop the wercker web interface, the product you will be working mostly on. We ship features every day and are highly involved in the product development process.

We're seeking developers that are passionate about usability, user experience and interactive design. Great HTML, CSS, and Javascript skills are required for this position. You have a good understanding of modern frontend architectures with knowledge of jQuery and at least one frameworks such as Backbone or Angular. You're comfortable in CSS and SASS, have an eye for detail and have worked within software engineering teams.

We're a small team, so there is a great opportunity to make a big impact.

Skills we expect:

  • Proven experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript
  • Ability to work with UI designers and turn design into functioning user interfaces
  • Experience developing responsive web interfaces
  • Experience with git
  • Ability to own projects end-to-end

Bonus skills:

  • Node.js experience is a big plus
  • Interest or experience in other languages such as Golang
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Startup experience.

Interested? E-mail us at werck@wercker.com and tell us why you think you fit this position. We care more about you telling us what you've worked on before – ideally with links to GitHub or previous projects you have worked on, than your resume.
