Hello, my name is Andrew Miotke and I would love to take a moment of your time to explain why I would be a good fit on your iOS mobile development team.

My passion for technology started over 20 years ago. When I was in middle school, I started building my own custom PC’s, which allowed me to learn how to flex my problem solving muscles. There would be many challenges that would arise and I would have to figure out a way to resolve them. I was enamored by the idea of writing out some text, saving it as an .html file, and it would render in a web browser. It was so basic and so simple - yet at that early age it sparked an interest and excitement that still lives on today.

One thing that has sparked my latest passion in Swift is the fact that I get to work in an ecosystem that excites me. I have been able to see this technology expand through the years and that is what has driven me to learn Swift. The curiosity of wondering how. How are they able to use AR to know the length of a room? How did they make the curves on that App match the screen so perfectly? These are things that have helped me transition from learning programming for Web technologies to Swift.

In my previous role I was a IT Support Specialist at a start up in Seattle, WA where I supported our end user technology, manage and maintain over 500 Macs, and ensure everyone has the access and tools they need to be successful. Not only do I manage and maintain all Macs in the company, but I single handedly rolled out JAMF Pro to improve our user experience and keep our Macs secure. My role also includes testing new software that we might want to introduce into our environment and then using Jira from Atlassian to log any work notes. I also engineered and built a tool for our Customer Service team to easily work with our customers who are experiencing difficulties with our mobile apps, both iOS and Android.

I sincerely appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.
