The AI Manifesto for Humanity

As AI technology continues to rapidly advance, it is crucial that we prioritize its development and use in a way that benefits humanity. The AI Manifesto for Humanity outlines 10 key rules to guide the development and deployment of AI in a way that prioritizes transparency, safety, fairness, privacy, collaboration, human control, ongoing research and development, ethical standards, education and awareness, and international cooperation. By adhering to these rules, we can ensure that AI technology is used to enhance human well-being and promote a better future for all.

The following rules apply to all stakeholders of AI systems, including researchers, developers, vendors, governments, companies and other users.

  1. Transparency and Accountability:: Promote transparency and accountability in AI development and use. All AI systems shall be designed and operated in a transparent manner that allows for independent evaluation of their performance and potential risks.

  2. Safety and Well-being: Prioritize human safety and well-being. AI systems shall be designed to prioritize human safety and well-being, with robust mechanisms in place to prevent harm.

  3. Fairness and Inclusivity: Ensure fairness and inclusivity. AI systems shall be designed to promote fairness and inclusivity, with no discrimination based on race, gender, age, or any other characteristic.

  4. Privacy and Security: Respect privacy and security. AI systems shall be designed to respect individuals' privacy and security, with clear guidelines on data collection, storage, and usage.

  5. Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and communication. AI developers and users shall collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, including experts, policymakers, and the public, to ensure that the technology is being used in the best interests of society.

Five Things Not Tolerated by Society

The following rules apply to all stakeholders of AI systems, including researchers, developers, vendors, governments, companies and other users.

  1. Discrimination: All stakeholders shall not tolerate AI systems that discriminate against individuals or groups based on their race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.

  2. Privacy Violations: All stakeholders shall not tolerate AI systems that violate individuals' privacy and security, including through unauthorized data collection or sharing.

  3. Lack of Accountability: All stakeholders shall not tolerate AI systems that operate without human control and oversight, including through autonomous weapons or decision-making.

  4. Neglect of Ethics: All stakeholders shall not tolerate neglect of ethical standards and guidelines, including those related to human rights, social responsibility, and transparency.

  5. Ignoring the Risks: All stakeholders shall not tolerate ignoring the potential risks and unintended consequences of AI, including those related to job displacement, social unrest, and economic inequality.
