“Energy” as in an act
Of pure creation
Making something out of nothing

Knowing nothing isn’t nothing
It is carbon, it’s the ether, it is plasma, it’s the spark 
And the blank canvas

Your fingers caress the loving smooth 
And cool metallic surface of 
An electrical socket

It is all about perspective
And you know? 
My perspective comes from making shit
You didn’t see coming

Because the only thing that ever changed the world
Was someone saying enough is not enough and
Good enough is never good enough
And greatness never great as that 
Which slips through the fingers of gods and geniuses

Carbon is the charred remains of everything
That we held dear
Oh dear, that is so two years ago
And so I burned a calendar.

And I know that ether is not a place 
Where god weilds paintbrushes and electric fingertips
It is the energy inside my heart when I get
Mad and sad and angry and horny and happy and pissed the fuck off
And it says 
Use your words, god damnit.
