We are looking for an extra set of hands for our infrastructure team. The team is a group of great people who are all among the best and brightest - and quick on their feet. If you're into building high performance infrastructure components and scaling out existing solutions, then we'd love to meet you. If you're a solid Ruby engineer who is infrastructure curious, then we'd be delighted to show you the ropes.
Some of the projects we're currently working on:
- Building out a new analytics backend using Hadoop
- Improve search speed and capacity using Solr and ElasticSearch
- Scaling out our MySQL deployment by building tools for automation
We are constantly investigating new technologies to replace existing solutions, such that we can stay well ahead of the scalability and reliability curves. We are currently putting a dent in the world at a rate of 2.5 billion requests a month and are busy building for an even more hectic future, where we'll be working with thousands of servers rather than the hundreds of today.
