Thanks for your comment. It looks like working correctly on maxima 5.44.0. Is there any problem in currently posted ini file?

The problem I'm having is this: If I have it loaded and restart maxima, the "dashes" and some symbols disappear:

If I then go into Edit->configure and Load the same ini file, then the symbols reappear:

So each time I start maxima, I go into configure and load the ini file. Have you observed this problem too?

Im using WxMaxima on Mac and while i had a bit of trouble installing i got it done but the text of the gui is white on a light gray background. I could use it that way but its a bit troublesome. Any help? I tried installing this script but it only changed the active window.
