A custom beer recipe of mine that tries to fuse a brown ale and rye ale together.

##Short Bus Brown Ale

###Grains

  • 40L 8oz
  • Special B 4oz
  • Chocolate Rye 2oz

###Malt

  • Amber 10lb (liquid extract)

###Hops

  • Northern Brewer 2oz (bittering)
  • Centennial 1oz (flavor)
  • Cascade 1oz (aroma)

###Yeast

  • 1968 London ESB (wyeast)

###Brewing History

  • July 24, 2011 - OSG 1.064, CarboyGrav=1.013, FSG=1.011, kegged Aug 7, 2011, used 10lb of Amber liquid extract.
  • Jan 23, 2007 (kegged Feb 4) - OSG=1.029, FG=1.011, used 6.5lb of Amber extract. I think this extract was dry, hence the different readings.
