Our products all require digital workflow and delivery. We need to be Digitally Literate to be efficient and effective.
Just being able to type fast is a small part of our daily work. Just being able to use Word, Excel, Outlook effectively is a small part.
We need to:
-
be able to describe what we need our IT Systems and Application to do and why – not just be passive users.
-
be able to find information, files, documents, images, discussion efficiently and accurately.
-
be able to interact effectively within the WTM and Outside using digital technologies.
-
be able to create and edit digital content.
-
know how to protect the information, content, personal data and privacy in our environment.
-
be able to identify problems and issues.
-
have the ability to resolve issues ourselves.
-
This is mostly just a mind shift in how we use the tools.
- To articulate information needs, to locate and retrieve digital data, information and content.
- To interact, communicate and collaborate through digital technologies while being aware of cultural and generational diversity.
- To create and edit digital content.
- To protect devices, content, personal data and privacy in digital environments.
- To identify needs and problems, and to resolve conceptual problems and problem situations in digital environments and to keep up-to-date with the digital evolution.
- Having a conceptual understanding of Systems and how they work together allows you to cope with change
