Mentor Outreach Deliverable

Mentor/Cold Outreach Deliverable:

  • Name of contact

    • Through a good friend of mine, I reached out to a senior developer at Autodesk, Mark Perrott, and asked him to be my mentor.
  • Date of contact

    • July 16, 2017
  • Outcome (i.e., did you get a response? If not, what is your follow-up plan? Did you meet? When? What was the result?)

    • Mark and I met up for lunch to discuss my major goals in my path moving forwards both at Turing and afterwards. We plan to meet again over the intermission to look more closely at some of my recent projects and take a look at what specifically I should focus on over the next few months.
  • How do you feel like this relationship will benefit you in your longterm professional development?

    • I believe through Mark's mentorship I will gain a deeper understanding into the current industry, both local and abroad, and because of his longterm experience in the field, he will be able to offer solid advice on how to reinforce and grow my skills as a developer.
