Project IdeaBox

Project: IdeaBox

Group Member Names: Margo Schaedel, David Becker

Project Expectations: What does each group member hope to get out of this project?

Margo wants to become a better paired project partner, as well as improve her awareness of visual/verbal cues from partner to ensure that both people in project are satisfied and understanding all phases of the project conceptually.

Goals and expectations:

The team would like to finish all phases of the project and complete the extensions phase of the project, at least in part. We also want to improve our pairing relationship, make sure we are aware of the other's needs. No steamrolling as much as possible.

Team strengths:

The team has strong time management and scheduling skills, being able to time-box, and stay focused on tasks. David has a strong grasp of Jquery.

How to overcome obstacles:

With differing skill levels, it's a possibility that there will be a discrepancy in speeds. So it's really important to have daily re-caps, and explain to each other the concepts behinds tasks worked on.

Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually?):

Team plans to start project Sunday. We will work both together and separately, as the time allows. Mornings can be allocated to check-ins and re-cap of work done from previous night.

Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open?):

Keep communication honest and open; try to give consistent feedback if something is not working, or if one partner is feeling unsure.

Abilities Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):

David: jQuery, JavaScript, wants to improve
Margo: html, css, JavaScript, wants to improve grasp of jQuery (in line with JavaScript) and flexbox

Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):

We plan to work on the larger features and/or issues together, and some of the smaller tasks separately.

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests):

Frequent updates; all work should be done on separate branches; shouldn't be merged until both parties have reviewed code. Pull requests should then be made and submitted.

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:
