OS X Dark Menu Bar and Dock

System Preferences > General > Use dark menu bar and Dock

See if your menu bar icons can be switched to black, so they appear white for dark menu bar, most apps have an option in settings.

Alfred

Simple productivity search app for OS X, like a google search bar for applications, files, etc.

Get Alfred then make it dark:

Preferences > Appearance > Alfred macOS Dark

f.lux

Easier on your eyes at night, turns colors/brightness to optimum reading levels regardless of time of day. Also has cool "Dark Room" setting for film inverse and red look.

Too lazy for above stuff? Want to mess with your friends? Enable OS X inverse colors!

System Preferences > Accessiblity > Display > Invert Colors

And to enable Keyboard shortcut (I use ^ ⌥ ⌘ + 8):

System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Invert Colors
