(Who am I)
I consider myself a builder in every sense of the word.
Whether it’s building physical spaces, a sense of community, relationships, or software,
I find great joy in working with my hands, my mind, and people.
As my past experiences demonstrate, I have gained knowledge and skills in working
successfully within and across diverse environments and populations.
I bring a strong background in working collaboratively with teams and leading teams
in a open minded, creative and solution-oriented way.
(How I got here and technical skills that match their job posting)
My passion for learning, building and exploring new outlets for personal growth has
lead me on the path to developing software. On the road to becoming a developer I
have acquired skills in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, building RESTFUL APIs, TTD using
Rspec and enzyme, along with experience working with AWS and React.
(Culture fit or What Im looking for)
(This is were I am stuck at the moment any suggestions you could offer?)
With my new found skills and passion for programming, I look forward to investing
my energy and hard work into a company that is equally excited to foster my growth
as a developer and person.

Version 2

I consider myself a builder in every sense of the word. Whether it’s building physical spaces, a sense of community, relationships, or software, I find great joy in working with my hands, my mind, and people. As my past experiences demonstrate, I have gained knowledge and skills in working successfully within and across diverse environments and populations. I bring a strong background in working collaboratively with teams and leading teams in a open minded, creative and solution-oriented way.

My passion for learning, building and exploring new outlets for personal growth has lead me on the path to developing software. On the road to becoming a developer I have found that many of the skills I have learned as a carpenter have helped me become a better programmer. My attention to detail has helped me strengthen my debugging skills and my ability to multi-task assisted me in delivering projects in a timely manner. In addition, I have acquired skills in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, building RESTFUL APIs, TTD using Rspec and Enzyme, along with experience working with AWS and React.

Coming from a construction background I know first hand the complexities and systems of a construction project. I have seen the waste of materials and money, and inefficiencies in labor and energy, as a result of miscommunication and misinformation on jobs. The gap that Procore is bridging by bringing real-time updates to the people that need it most and helping companies maintain better organization and documentation is one of the reasons I want to work for Procore. However, I believe what really makes Procore the company I want to invest my energy and hard work into is its dedication to the well-being, growth, and happiness of their employees.
