How to write a time off request

Time off requests: templates

All listed time off are inclusives of dates/half days.

Full days

Mention day of the week, month and date (number).

Examples:

  • I would like to take the following days off: from Monday May 13th to Friday May 24th.
  • I would like to take Monday May 13th off.

Partial days

Mention day of the week, month and half days.

Examples:

  • I would like to take the following days off: from Monday May 13th noon to Friday May 24th noon.
  • I would like to take the following days off: from Monday afternoon May 13th to Friday morning May 24th .
  • I would like to take the afternoon of Monday May 13th off.
  • I would like to take the afternoons off of Monday May 13th to Wednesday May 15th.

Complex requests

List each range by following the above formats.

For example:

I would like to take the following time off:
  - From Monday May 13th to Friday May 17th
  - The afternoons of Monday May 13th to Wednesday May 15th
