v3

Have fun.

Seriously. We’re bringing people together. It’s meant to be enjoyable. Experiment. Make mistakes. Own our actions. Reflect. Grow. Reflect. Grow. Reflect. Grow. Repeat.

Put others first.

We know that if we have others’ backs first, others will have ours when we need it, so we keep the perspective long term and practice generosity, always.

Do it together.

We achieve more, grow more from perspective, remain more humble, come up with more creative ideas, and have more fun together than we do alone.

Find out.

Our “work” deals with connection between people, emotions, stories. We rarely do this work in controlled environments, so results may vary. Don’t overplan or get nervous. Just do things and find out.

Stay human.

We are an organization, and an organization is a collection of humans. This should be reflected in everything that comes out of TWS.

Follow norms, not rules.

We operate in unison and with common intention. That’s what gives the community strength, but rules make it hard to breathe and kill the fun. So we’re flexible.

Stay human.

v1

Have fun.

Seriously. We’re fostering human connection, and we’re doing it for free. This should be awesome for everyone. So if we make mistakes, we’ll own them, we’ll fix things, and we’re continue to experiment.

Put others first.

We know that if we have others’ backs first, others will have ours when we need it, so we keep the perspective long term. We practice generosity, always, whether in our attention, our time, our energy, or anything else.

Never settle.

We are always subject to change. The second we think we’ve figured something out is the second we stop growing, so we reflect often and are quick to accept criticism from ourselves and from others.

Follow norms, not rules.

We operate in unison and with common intention. That’s what gives the community strength, but rules make it hard to breathe and kill the fun. So we’re flexible.

Stay human.

We are an organization, yes, but an organization is a collection of humans. This should be reflected in everything that comes out of TWS.
