We use google docs to plan out itineraries and often the issue of that foreign places currency comes up as the entire world doesnt use the almighty USD. My thinking goes, google docs pretty damn advanced, we should be able to use some type of automation or scripting to get these exchange rates automatically. Here's a cautionary tale about how knowing how to do something doesnt mean it's worth doing.
Google has their own version of macros those familiar with the MS Office line of products would be familiar with, and it turns out that there's a lot of functionality; both built in by google and just by being javascript.
Get to their editor by going in docs to Tools > Script Editor
