I could write a drawn out, multi-page essay on the reasons that net
neutrality needs to be upheld, but it honestly doesn't require that.
It is simple:
We pay ISPs exorbitant amounts of money to provide us with unfettered
access to the internet, and they should be lawfully bound to this
agreement. ISPs must be reclassified under title II of the
Communication Act of 1934 and regarded as a utility in the eyes of the
law.
ISPs can not be allowed to decide what gets preferential treatment and
what doesn't. That would be wrong. It would complete rid the internet
of openness and would divide the internet into those who can afford to
be extorted by ISPs, and those who can't.
Please represent the whim of the people, not the ISPs.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
