How It Works

As a preliminary, set an intention first! Don't change it so long as you're interested in the outcome you want.

  1. You cannot control the thoughts that come into your head regarding how to get to your goal. This includes thoughts of self-doubt, self-criticism, good ideas, bad ideas, ideas like "I should ask someone for help", thoughts like "I don't know...", and voices telling you "you'll never...", or even "I've got this...".
  2. You can control the thoughts you chose to coalesce into secondary thoughts, speech, or actions.
  3. Pick the next thought, the next piece of speech, or the next volitional act that seems most aligned with your desired outcome.
  4. Act on it.
  5. Repeat.
